The main component of licorice is glycyrrhizin, also known as glycyrrhizin, also known as glycyrrhizin due to its sweet taste. Antiviral effect is one of the main pharmacological effects of glycyrrhizic acid. Because glycyrrhizin has excellent characteristics such as high sweetness, low calorie, low foaming and hemolysis, safety and non-toxicity, glycyrrhizin tablet preparations have been officially used in clinical treatment of hepatitis B.
At present, the application of licorice in the prevention and treatment of hepatitis has been reported at home and abroad, and its active ingredients are mainly glycyrrhizin and glycyrrhetic acid (the hydrolyzate of glycyrrhizic acid). Tiansheng Pharmaceutical's research has proved that glycyrrhizin and glycyrrhetic acid can significantly reduce the necrosis and ballooning of liver cells in acute hepatitis, reduce GOT and GPT, and also have a good protective effect on liver cells in chronic hepatitis. At present, the treatment of hepatitis is mainly achieved by anti-virus, inducing interferon, regulating body immunity and anti-inflammatory. Glycyrrhizin has the effect of directly fighting hepatitis virus and inducing interferon to inhibit hepatitis virus. Tiansheng Pharmaceutical's animal experiments have shown that glycyrrhetic acid has a significant inhibitory effect on liver damage caused by carbon tetrachloride and galactosamine. Its anti-inflammatory effect may be related to affecting the metabolism of arachidonic acid.
Hepatitis is one of the serious diseases that endanger human health, especially chronic hepatitis can cause liver cirrhosis, liver cancer and other consequences. Currently, there is still a lack of drugs with high cure rate and stable efficacy. In recent years, the application of glycyrrhizic acid preparations in the treatment of chronic hepatitis has achieved good curative effect at home and abroad. Japanese scholars have investigated the effect of glycyrrhizic acid on the extracellular secretion of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in vitro. The result is that the secretion of HBsAg in hepatitis B virus (HBV) infected cells is inhibited, which may be improved by inhibiting the destruction of liver cells. The liver function of patients with chronic hepatitis B eventually improves the immune status to HBV.
In recent years, a new glycyrrhizic acid variety, diammonium glycyrrhizinate, has been shown to have a significant effect on reducing glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) in patients with chronic viral hepatitis. After intravenous administration, ALT levels were significantly reduced in more than 85% of patients. Diammonium glycyrrhizinate has strong anti-inflammatory, protecting liver cell membrane and improving liver function. Practice has shown that diammonium glycyrrhizinate can significantly prevent the increase of serum ALT caused by galactosamine, carbon tetrachloride, etc., and correspondingly improve liver tissue damage. It can also significantly improve the survival of mice with chronic liver damage caused by complex pathogenic factors. rate and improve liver function. Some scholars have observed the efficacy of glycyrrhizin in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B, and the results show that glycyrrhizin has obvious curative effect in reducing ALT, hepatitis B virus and other indicators.
Tiansheng Pharmaceutical's research has confirmed that glycyrrhizic acid can significantly reduce liver cell fatty degeneration and necrosis, reduce liver cell interstitial inflammatory response, inhibit liver cell fibrosis, and promote liver cell regeneration. Hepatitis worthy of attention and promotion of drugs.
